Congratulations lads on what looked to be a great final, gutted I missed this one due to other commitments but both looked very sharp in the semi-finals.
Well done Marc on another title in our prestige tournament, commiserations to John but a great try and especially the 6th frame requiring a snooker with the pink and black left
Sorry I had to leave and miss the comeback but well done to both players in a great spectacle of snooker

A very tough final, once again, against a class act in John. Such a clever player who made a strong start to the match. Felt I took a few frames to get the pace and a feel for the table and got stronger as the match went on. The shot to put the pink over the black touching ball was unbelievable. It brought back old haunting images of Derek Morrison's shot at the 22 Club in the doubles!!!!!!!!!!🤕🤕🤕🥺🤣🤣 Still get sleepless nights with that one, haha. Must be a Culter team special that shot 🤪
On a personal note, a good season going close to the league with the 22 Club. It's been good to see some other faces win, and I have some ideas I will propose to try and take Aberdeen Snooker forward in the right direction competition wise. I received an offer for the Commonwealth Games in Mauritius which will have connections to the Olympics in 2030 which snooker is pushing to become part of. Sadly I have had to give up that offer, as massive as it was. Had to laugh at the invitation letter from the Commonwealth titled, Dear ATHLETE!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lastly, a huge thanks to Culter for the table usage this season, Sandy for his table preparation and mid session snacks, the bar staff who stay on late to accommodate us and to all spectators who come along creating that final feel and to Mark Oaten for his refereeing duties as it's much appreciated. I did Watts Ap message you to thank you, however it bounced straight back to me as I am blocked apparently, (straight after that final it appears) Strange.......
