**SUGGESTION**

I have an idea to try and spruce things up somewhat. In life, naturally people like to be involved. Prize funds in competitions are a lot smaller than they used to be and less prize money is being handed out and as a result, our accounts are in a healthy spot with Derek and Deadly Duncs asking at the AGM on any suggestions for giving a bit back to the members, us players. My idea is a tupperware box full of raffle prizes, bottles, etc......decent prizes. Everyone in attendance receives a raffle ticket as they come in the door, a wee job for the girls who are big advocates and supporters of Aberdeen Snooker, Sarah - Jane and Helen perhaps (they fit the bill naturally with their character) who could hand them out as people come in or any volunteer to do so.

So again, for the FINAL ONLY

A 50+ break scored, at the end of the frame whilst balls are being set up, draw a ticket for a raffle prize.

A 100+ break scored, a cash prize via raffle ticket, £30, £40, £50 perhaps, maybe gets bigger the more 100s that are scored, taking into account not many are scored in finals, Alec Main maybe the last time, so perhaps bigger still....?

I feel this would help get everyone involved, all having some fun at the same time, giving back to the members and hopefully upping the attendances as people have a chance to win something themselves so almost willing the players on to perform and take us away from this negative slump we currently find ourselves on.

Again, all feedback on this thread would be much appreciated, I want to see Aberdeen Snooker flourish again, only we can do this is TOGETHER. Have your say!

It will always be a poor turnout I’m afraid because of the location I’ve said this last couple of years,don’t get me wrong it’s prob the best venue,but it’s not exactly a prime location for the majority of people.I did mention this at AGM,maybe use Nigg or Sportsman’s and try holding it at a weekend,it’s clearly not enticing people to come and watch so try something different,I also think semi and final should be held at a neutral venue,Culter is a big advantage for the players that player there and a big disadvantage to the players that qualify,just my thoughts on it.

For the people that don’t go and watch the latter stages of comps and final,be interesting to hear what the reasoning is since it’s in a Tuesday when they r usually out playing anyway,let’s c who’s first to reply if anyone.At least some feedback would be good🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

It was poor turn out last night but was good final to watch, watching two of our great players from Aberdeen playing it’s disappointing people down coming to watch them,

people should come support the competitions and you would learn a lot watching mark and John

Looking at the website now Marc on the photos on our champions gallery you now are on 8 out of the 10 photos which is a great achievement. 👏🏼👏🏼 just the Billiards to be played again and 22Club to win the team cup and it could be a clean sweep. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Getting a bit boring now though 😜🤣🤣

If you are going to watch only one frame, watch frame 2. 2 x 50+ breaks and an awkward black ball! Unlucky John, that Black ball could have taken the match in a completely different direction!
