Final result:
Marc Davis 5-0 John McCann
Not as one sided as the score suggests. The second frame in particular highlights this with Marc opening with a 60 break followed by John clearing to the black and on 54 missed a difficult cut back black to win the frame. Thereafter was somewhat tactical. Well done Marc and thanks to Culter Mills Club for holding the semi and final. Also big thanks to Paul Hardy, Sandy Masson and Mark Oaten for refereeing.
Thanks also to those who attended the final though was a poor turnout tbh.

Congratulations to Marc Davis on winning the 2024/25 Derek Hearns Memorial Trophy , commiserations to John McCann unfortunately in our game there always has to be a loser but it also takes 2 players to make a final, I enjoyed reffing the final and in the early stages frames could have gone either way but Marc showed his class to take a 4-0 lead at the interval and completed the victory 5-0 to win the Competition 👏👏👏 Thanks to everyone that turned up like Derek said a very poor turnout for a Tuesday night not sure where we go from here Competitions wise 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ also a big Thanks to Sandy for preparation of table and for bringing in those fine sandwiches during the interval 🤣🤣🤣 see you all next year hopefully when we will do it all again, finally we all know why this Tournament is the most highly anticipated Competition for all of us it's because of the Great man himself Derek Hearns 👏👏👏 so C'mon Guys get your asses out and support the event 💪💪💪
