Nigg Bay golf club will be hosting the semi finals and final of Aberdeen Singles starting on Sunday 5th April at 7pm with the final on monday 6th April at 7pm.Well done to the 4 players who have made it this far. The open draw will take place before the semis start the 4 remaining players are
The defending champion Rene Taticek Culter teammate Derek Morrison,last year's runner up Derek Hudson and previous winner Mark Oaten so could be an interesting couple of nights.

Very close matches. Rene potted a great black to make it 3-3 whist on the other Table Derek cleared from Green to black but finished dead straight and hard against the cushion after potting a low pink with right had side. He took on the black but missed otherwise both matches were going the distance.
Final tomorrow 7pm at Nigg Bay.

Congratulations to Derek Hudson in winning an epic final against Mark Oaten. Derek won the first frame convincingly as did Mark in the second. Thereafter Derek forged a good lead in each frame only for the more experienced Mark to peg him back and in the forth frame needed a snooker with only pink and black remaining only to get the snooker and win. At 3-1 and 4-2 it looked likely that Mark was going to get over the line. But showing great character and determination Derek won the next two frames to level at 4-4. The trophy looked destined for Mark until he missed what looked like a simple black when 4-3 ahead.
The final frame was a one sided affair with Derek winning with 3 reds remaining.
