Snooker Comp Idea

Hi guys,
I’ve had an idea for some sort of one/two day singles comp to be held sometime soon. At this point if the leagues still are far away from restarting, I do think it would be unfair for players who are keen to play competitive snooker again to still be restricted.
I understand that with the closure of Riley’s we are severely impeded with regards to venues with multiple tables. The idea would be to hold a tournament from L16/QF stage over one or two days across one or two weekends. This event would not need to necessarily be affiliated with ALCBSA and is really just intending to get people together playing competitive snooker to get the ball rolling again (into the pocket I hope).
Let’s try get at least 8 or so players, I’m sure it’s achievable. Then it’s just a case of agreeing on a venue. The Sportsman’s Club with three tables would be the most logical option for me, but others may disagree. Regardless of this, let’s get playing again.
If absolutely anyone is interested then let’s get something started. Independent pool competitions are being held all the time, and while this is in sports bars with multiple tables, these comps have no affiliation with any league. It can be done for snooker in Aberdeen if just a few players are keen for it.
I’ve already spoken to a couple players who are interested, I’m sure we can get a few more.
Please feel free to reply on this feed if you’re interested or message me on Facebook.
Cheers
