Congratulations to Barry Smith in winning our Interclubs Snooker Singles championship with a 5-4 victory over Team mate Alec Main.
It was Alec that got off to a great start winning the first two frames but then had to see his opponent Barry come back and also win 2 in concession before the interval.
Barry won a close frame after start of play then took the next to put him 4-2 up and only looking for one more frame to win this title for his second time. Alec then produced some great match snooker to quickly win the next two frames to take it to a deciding frame which the match deserved. It was Barry that took the first chance and built up a handy lead and managed to eventually take the frame with both having chances in the decider.
Well done Barry and commiserations to Alec.
Both played in an excellent final.
