We played on one of the tables in the back room and I must say it played beautifully. Nice pace and brilliant lighting!

Well, where do I start with the 1st Aberdeen Snooker Plate Competition!! 11hrs of snooker, 25 players, 3 no shows, 23 matches and we finally got our winner.
Huge Congratulations to Graeme Smart who managed to edge out Kevin Kev Min McLean in a great final. Kev was 1 ball away from winning the match after winning the 1st frame quite convincingly but Graeme has kept his nerve and potted the pink and black to draw level. The deciding frame has ebbed and flowed and again Kev has potted a cracking pink and looked a cert to win but missed the black, which Graeme has potted for the win. Commiserations to Kev who seemed to play better as the competition went on and hopefully takes this form into next season's competition's and league matches.
Big thanks to Rileys Aberdeen for hosting today's event, without there support this might not of happened. Billy also put up semi final runners up prizes of 2hrs free snooker which Kai Ewers and Bryan Robson got. Thanks to Marc Davis for getting all the tables ready for today as well as refereeing the final and more importantly everyone who turned up to play and made it a success. Hopefully we see you all again next year as well as more players as we try and grow this event.

Big shoutout to Riley’s for hosting the event a fantastic venue to enable it to conclude in a day,thanks Billy.
Thanks Mark Davis for cleaning all six tables turning up helping out and refereeing the final,and of course Gav for organising the comp so professionally.

Congratulations Graeme, commiserations Kev. Good final, some great potting and both came ever so close to winning. Graeme had a dead weight black along the cushion for 1-1 which sat.....then only just dropped, then Kev had a tricky across the nap black at 1-1 which rattled after a wonderful pink. Graeme then potted a superb long black for the title! Well done Kai Ewers and Bryan Robson on reaching the semis also.👏👏👏 Glad everyone enjoyed it.
