Snooker History

Hi

wondering if the committee or older snooker player out there knows how I can find out more about Aberdeens snooker history, My grand father played at the music hall where they used to play the finals, don't know anymore than that he won a tea set but left it In a bar after going out to celebrate (chip off the old block)

has there any records been passed down to the current committee?

cheers

A few of us were lucky enough to have played at the Misic Hall…. What was his name and club he played for. Not aware of any historical info being passed down but maybe can try find out? Think Peter Farnam might be good contact.

Alec Middleton from Marshal street  but no idea of the club he played for.

Alec Middleton played for the Gordon Highlanders in king street. Reckon it was around the 1940s.

Thanks to Lenny Mutch for the advice to try the city library as they have micro phish of all the news clippings of the day.

sounds like a good job for a rainy day.
